Edwards: The Old Media Will Be Replaced

Small Dead Animals has a post up about how people are starting to grasp how the internet is changing how media is both created and consumed - specifically newsmedia.
While it is true that blogging and other types of electronic dissemination are changing how people get informed, turning the news into something interactive and globalized, but also grouped into special interests, it occurs to me that this will not solve the problem of the overwhelming leftist bias in the news.
This isn’t because reporters, will remain leftist. Reporters are becoming irrelevant as everyone gains the ability to “create” news. The broader spectrum of information sources will remain.
It is because the “Mainstream Media” will change form. What we think of now as the monopolists of media, the Ted Turners, the CBC’s, the AOL Time-Warners, the Bell Globemedias, the New York Times, the Toronto Stars, will fall by the wayside. This is inevitable.
What will rise in their stead will be the gatekeepers of information. Those gatekeepers will control what information we are allowed to know, and who we are allowed to know it from. They may or may not create content themselves, but they will permit or deny access to the already created content that they do not wish to have us know.

The Politic.com does a service in the above advising subscribers to the internet that as we all know sources come and go. We muse why. Information being controlled by vested interests as by the Chinese gov’t who impose then lift bans when large segments of their populations seem agreeable enough.
What we’re all opposing as independent, free thinkers is “mind-control.” Something Leftists are dreaming about, but something that will never succeed, despite their concerted, organized attempts. This is all part and parcel of manipulating, shaping, controlling public opinion, starting with individual thought processes.
The issue more or less resolved itself at the time of the French Revolution, but that involved physical expression/resistance by the masses. Hitler handled it with his genocidal policy. Notice he didn’t ultimately succeed.
Neither will this present little plan against free speech. It is laughable that the powers that be (derived from the people mind you) are once again trying.
You’re supported by the Constitution as are other citizens of the world. Mental midgets *attempting* to “go for the gold” are shortly going to realize the significance of these documents. To their peril. So, view it as the ludicrous/preposterous mini-trial it really is. Politic.com offers the other scenario that’s not being counted on right now. The people have enjoyed vast protection under our substantial driven-up laws which have established it. If some are shaken, don’t be. The plan remarkably and without doubt doesn’t have a leg to stand on — only a one phraese ‘loophole’ at the moment. Removable with the stroke of a pen by a responsible judge(s).

MSM has become the MAINSTREAM SOCIALIST MEDIA.
DEMOCRACY IS SENDING SERIOUS MESSAGES TO THESE MSM.

WHO do the Canadian MSM work for? is it for the country or for a political party?
That is why I like the likes of American Glenn Beck, at least he is all sides reports for all sides of politicians and gives credit when credit is due.
In Canada however, MSM belongs to the liberals-naturally the liberals feel at home with this MSM knowing that they will be protected no matter the millions the liberals stole from us.
They, MSM, will never give the Conservatives the credit they deserve for the work they have accomplished in two and half years. No other government has ever done so much in a short space of time like the Conservative party of canada under Stephen Harper.
Had the MSM done their job to report the Conservative accomplishments or credited them for it, like the MSM suppose to do; most likely these MSM will not be ‘looked down’.
Let me go further, the canadian liberals have shown support for terrorists in canada- NOT AN IOTA OF WARNING WAS HEARD FROM THE MSM farless condemned the liberals for endangering our lives.
I personally thank the National Post and most of the columnists like STEWART BELL JOHNATHAN FAY AND OTHERS FOR TAKING PRIDE IN THE JOB THEY DO-THEY ARE JOURNALISTS REPORTERS.
The world needs good journalisms -not garbage.
