Tymoshenko: Government forced to pay for gas by last year’s corrupt models

Premier Yulia Tymoshenko says that the government was forced to pay for gas by the model used last year.
“The government was forced, pressured, and blackmailed into paying by the corrupt models used last year,” she said during a press conference on Saturday.
“In October, November, and December, Boyko and all those related to RosUkrEnergo and UkrGazEnergo took money and didn’t pay for gas, and the government, the budget, and all the country’s resources were used for the closure of these corrupt schemes and models,” noted the Prime Minister.
According to her, the government was against making payments according to these schemes. “I think that you saw what happened with the gas and how every day the government was tortured and forced to transfer budget funds to pay for gas,” she added.
Yulia Tymoshenko promised from today to regularly release information on the pressure being put on the government.
“Starting on March 1, I will report on all the pressure put on the government, and I will clearly differentiate this pressure,” said Tymoshenko.
At the same time, the Prime Minister refused to clarify who or what state bodies are pressuring the government. “The unity of the democratic coalition is above everything. I am confident in this,” she underscored.

Note: And Harper thinks HE has problems! I keep a close eye on Yulia because she’s the modern Margaret Thatcher of the now defunct Soviet Union and she drives Putin to distraction. That’s a good thing in my mind and I hope she continues to give him a hot foot. Did I mention how many Canadians are of Ukranian extraction?
“Nope” — but you can take it from me.
“More than a few” and every one of them helped to build my country. It’s a long story.
