The Palestinians have a so-called democratically elected government in Gaza. 8,000 rockets have been fired into mostly Israeli civilian neighbourhoods from Gaza far with very little retaliation, and zero protest from the palestinians who are represented by the triggermen on the launchers. There can be no doubt therefore that the citizens of Gaza support their goverment’s rocket attacks on Israel. It is time Israel issued the UN an ultimatum giving it 48 hrs to halt these rockets attacks completely. It should be made abundently clear that there will be no extension of this deadline. Should the UN fail (which it will) this ultimatum should include a description of the self-defense measures Israel will take to clean out the rat’s nest that is Gaza. Immediately following the very first rocket that falls on Israel after the expiration of the deadline, Israel should carpet bomb every square inch of Gaza leaving not a single structure over about 2 ft tall standing. Israel is not going to survive much longer unless it forsakes world opinion and acts in its own best interests as only it knows how. If it did all it would be doing is what any other nation in a similar situation would do.
